Chop the Support Leg
Damage the leg they stand on so every kick they throw costs their own base.
How to practice
- Partner throws controlled low kicks at pads or at your thigh.
- The instant their kick commits and their weight settles onto the post leg, chop that standing leg with your own low kick.
- Start timed to the moment their kick lands, then progress to chopping as they recover the leg.
- Drill 20 timed chops per side, focusing on placement at the calf and knee line.
- Combine with the check: check their kick, then immediately chop their post leg before they can re-balance.
- Spar one round where your only scoring strike is the standing-leg chop.

Common mistakes
