Round-by-round plan

  1. Round 1
    Track and Read

See how they move. Do not chase. Start cutting off space.

  2. Round 2
    Close Distance

Use feints, double jab, and body jab to enter. Attack when they hit boundaries.

  3. Round 3
    Force Exchanges

Increase pressure, but stay balanced. Make them fight instead of letting them coast.

Primary tactics

Cut Off the Ring

Step where they are going, not where they are.

Why it matters: Following lets them escape. Cutting off traps them.

Double Jab Entry

Use double jab to step into range.

Why it matters: It covers distance safely.

Jab to Chest / Body

Aim at chest or body instead of chasing the head.

Why it matters: The body is harder to move.

Feints

Feint before entering.

Why it matters: It freezes movement and creates openings.

Boundary Pressure

Attack when they get near ropes or cage.

Why it matters: Their movement options become limited.

Best weapons

Double Jab

When: Use when entering against long range.

Why it works: It covers distance and occupies their jab hand.

Jab to Chest

When: Use when the head is moving too much.

Why it works: The chest is easier to track.

Lead Hook to Body

When: Use after cutting off their exit.

Why it works: It punishes movement and slows them.

Overhand Right

When: Use over a lazy long jab.

Why it works: It can travel over the jab line.

Sparring constraints

  • Opponent must move constantly
  • Fighter must cut off instead of chase
  • Fighter must use feint before entering
  • Fighter must jab to body at least once per exchange
  • Fighter cannot rush in without setup
