Drill 3 of 5
Touch and Exit Drill
Score without staying in range.
How to practice
- Enter at speed, touch the partner with a fast jab or light cross, and be gone before they can counter.
- Keep the punch at 70% commitment - the exit matters more than the impact.
- Exit on an angle, never straight back, and keep your eyes on their counter hand.
- Partner counters everything; your touch is only good if you are clear before their punch would land.
- Finish with a scoring round: one point per touch-and-clean-exit, minus one per counter eaten.
