Drill 4 of 5
Rear Hand Against Southpaw
Build the main open-stance weapon.
How to practice
- From the outside foot position, fire the rear cross straight down the open center lane.
- Drill the pull-counter: slip their jab inside and answer with the rear hand over it.
- Set it up with the jab first - their rear hand drifts to parry, and the lane opens.
- Practice at three ranges: long cross, mid-range cross off a slip, short cross in the pocket.
- Finish live: the rear cross is your only scoring punch for the round.
